Ferrite

Ferrite is a permanent magnetic material composed of iron oxide and other metal oxides, known for its stable chemical properties and reliable magnetic performance. Due to its unique material structure, ferrite magnets are widely used in industrial and electronic applications.

Ferrites are typically hard and brittle, with high electrical resistivity, which allows them to effectively suppress eddy current losses in high-frequency operating environments, reducing energy waste. In addition, ferrites exhibit good dielectric properties, making them suitable for various high-frequency electromagnetic applications.

In terms of performance, ferrites have relatively low magnetic energy density and low saturation magnetization, generally only about one-third to one-fifth of that of pure iron. Therefore, they are not suitable for low-frequency, high-power applications that require high magnetic energy density. However, ferrites offer significant cost advantages in mid- to low-end magnetic applications.
